Nalu Mitts (FO) by Leila Raabe

These mitts were a total dream to knit. I can’t believe how heavenly this yarn is. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said it was like knitting with clouds. It really is that soft; just what I imaging pillowy clouds to feel like. Anyway, this pattern is equally as awesome and with the DK weight they knit up incredibly fast and would make for lovely last minute gifts. You have no excuse not to go make some for yourself!

P.S. This brand new yarn base will be available in my shop starting April 16th. I hope to have near 20 colorways available that day!

Blueberry Scowl - by Liz Abinante (FO)

My Blueberry Scowl is all done! I’m so tickled that Liz chose to design with my yarn. It makes me feel like I’m a professional! She designed this scowl (scarf+cowl) with my Merino Worsted base in the Blueberry colorway so I decided to make one just like it! This will be a beautiful sample knit that I will have in my booth at any rereats/yarn shows I vend at this year so some of you might get to see it in person!

Woodland Spring Shawl - by Christina Wall (FO)

I’m actually calling this my Woodland Fall Shawl, and I knit this lovely shawl for my Aunt as a gift this holiday. She picked out this yarn, it’s called Monstrous Nightmare and it’s one of my yarns. This was a pretty fast knit for me. The lace slowed me down a bit as it’s been a while since I’ve done anything this complex but I think it turned out lovely and I really hope my Aunt is happy with it. This was knit on my brand new size 6 Signature circular needles (yes, I’m now officially a needle snob, it was only a matter of time) and it was such a dream. Cannot say enough good things about those needles. Love them.

I had to alter the pattern a bit because I was working with less yardage than what the pattern calls for but I made it work and you can find my notes on my project page.

Age of Brass & Steam Kerchief - by Orange Flower (FO)

Absolutely love this shawl. I knit this with my very favorite color way of mine, Galaxy. I actually finished this a long time ago…like back ing June. But I hate blocking and so I neglected it for a while until I needed it as a sample for my booth in September so I blocked it last month and finally got around to taking photos of it a month later. Opps. Anyway, totally love it, would love to make another sometime soon.  I did make a few modifications because it calls for a heavier weight yarn than what I used and you can find that info on my Ravelry page.  Oh and this is a free pattern so no excuse not to knit one up yourself!

Sheena Shawl - by Jacquelyn Ridzy (FO)

This shawl was a nightmare to knit. The pattern had a number of errors that I won’t get into here but it was quite frustrating and thus I am super happy that it is off the needles and out of my mind for a while. I knit this up with my very own yarn in my Bulbasaur (green) and Chocolate & Caramel (brown) colorways.  Blocked out this has a wonderful drape and I know I will get quite a bit of use out of it this Fall.

Stephen West - Mystery KAL (FO)

I finished Westknits Mystery Shawl KAL 2011: Earth & Sky (pattern (ravelry) - my project page!!!  I actually bound off a week ago but finally blocked and wove in the ends last yesterday.  I will probably be gifting this to my mother for Christmas.  The colors aren’t really me, I was mainly trying to find colors in my stash that went well together.

I’m pretty pleased that I was able to overcome my fear of intarsia.  I don’t think there will be any sweaters with large teddy bears on them in my future but I like the geometry of this shawl and am looking forward to trying more of this technique in the future.

Knit with Sunshine Yarns - Classic Sock in Raccoon Hollow, Rose Quartz and Red Hots on size 4 US needles.  Red Hots did bleed a bit during it’s soak so Rose Quartz is now more rosy, oh well. :(
